Back in 2016, Fibonacci LLC (USA), trading as HempWood®, was founded with the goal of contributing to slowing down the deforestation process by using fast-growing industrial hemp plants and converting them into a new wood type, called HempWood®.

HempWood® is innovative and unique because it is the first carbon-negative, plant-based alternative to regular wood. The technology is patented in several continents worldwide. It will significantly reduce the need for wood altogether.

HempWood® will help countries and industries in their efforts to capture vast amounts of CO2 and preserve their natural forests. HempWood® can already now partially replace decorative wood and by 2026 also construction wood.
